with Susanna Liller and David Lee*

* If you’re not familiar with our work, you’ll find our bios at the end of this page

Does this sound familiar?

  • You’re hungry to make a difference in the world, but you’re not sure exactly how.
  • Even though you’re successful, you feel “there’s something more out there for me”…but you’re not sure what it is.
  • Lately, you find yourself thinking a lot about why you’re here on earth…what your purpose is.
  • You’re going through a major life transition—job loss, divorce, health challenge—that will require that you reinvent yourself and…an extra dose of courage.
  • You are beginning—or ready—to put yourself “out there” in a bigger way but you could use encouragement and support.
  • You have moved to a different place in your life and want to know you’re not alone – (and want to meet the other members of “your tribe”)

If so, the Hero’s Journey Series might be exactly what you’re looking for…

  1. All calls will be free.
  2. The recordings will be up for 72 hours – so if you miss a call, you have 72 hours to listen for free.
  3. You will be able to purchase the MP3s and transcripts, if you would like (details below).
  4. Also, we just put up a Facebook Page to facilitate sharing and Q&A. Just search “Your Hero’s Journey” in Facebook and join.

Call #1: Uncovering Your Inner Hero and Your “Journey Blueprint”

The free recording is no longer available. You can purchase the MP3 (the link is farther down the page)

How to Use the Hero’s Journey to Set Your Inner Hero Free – One of the most powerful—and serenity-producing—aspects of the Hero’s Journey System is its ability to help us feel confident and comfortable in the face of change, challenge, and uncertainty. You’ll learn practical techniques for meeting and accessing your Inner Hero.

Heeding the Call: Learning to Hear What Life (and your Soul) Asks Of You – You’ll learn more techniques for tuning into that “Still Small Voice”.

Lessons You Are Here to Learn: How to Use the Hero’s Journey System to Help You Identify Critical Life Lessons You Are Here to Learn – You’ll learn how to look at your life trajectory and pattern for clues that will help you cut through the drama of repeating negative patterns and extract key life lessons that will help you break free of unproductive behaviors and attractions, become more of who you were meant to be, and develop greater serenity.

Discovering The Gifts You Are Here to Bring – Learn how to use the Hero’s Journey System to identify the gifts that you are here to bring into the world…the gifts you are being called to share.

Call #2: Using the Hero’s Journey to Learn More About the “Special Teachers” in Your Life, Become More Alert to Clues That Will Help You…and Become Braver

Befriending the Unknown – Before you go on your journey, there are things you can do to prepare yourself. There are practices you can engage in that will help you become more comfortable with—and even welcoming of—the unknown.

Crossing the Threshold: More about Challenging the “Threshold Guardians” and Gathering Courage – More practical tools to help you take that first step…and beyond. We just touched on a few in the free teleseminar.

Your Teachers in Disguise – You’ll learn how to use the Hero’s Journey System to identify key teachers in your life—especially those disguised as “difficult people”—and discover what they are trying to teach you.

Becoming More Mindful Along the Way – The Hero’s Journey system also makes life more interesting and juicy because it helps us wake up to important clues and lessons disguised as “common” everyday experiences. Learn how to extract powerful wisdom from seemingly ordinary, mundane experiences.

Call#3: Sharing Your Journey, Tying Up Loose Ends, and Taking Next Steps

Sharing Your Stories – While we’ll have time to share brief updates in Call One and Two, in Call Three, you’ll have the opportunity to share in more depth the epiphanies you’ve had, the steps you’ve taken, the stumbles, and the victories. This is an opportunity to remind ourselves that we can be heroes to others simply through our actions. Something you say can give another heart and the extra inspiration to take that next step.

Tying Up Loose Ends – Since we will be “going with the flow” as the tele-series unfolds, we might spend more time on some topics, requiring us to move others to a later call. Here’s where we’ll do that.

Questions and Answers – While we’ll try to have opportunities on each call for questions and answers, we’ll definitely make time on this last time.

Commitment to Next Steps – This will be an opportunity to make a commitment to your community about what next steps you will take.

How to Purchase the MP3s So You Can Re-listen, Reinforce, and Dive Deeper

If you’re like me (David) you’ve found that when you re-listen to educational and personal growth programs, you get something new and different each time…or a deeper, more personal understanding. Prior to this teleseminar, I re-listened to my CD Your Mythic Journey and found myself remembering ideas and stories I had forgotten….and I’m the one who did the presentation :-)!

Downloadable MP3s

Downloadable MP3s and Transcripts – Transcripts are great time saver if you want to review a call or….if you’re really pressed for time or a visual learner–a great way to speed learn instead of listening to the call.

If you purchase MP3s and/or transcripts, if you are not 100% satisfied after the first call, just let us know before the second call and we’ll cheerfully refund each and every dinero you invested. So no worries.

If you haven’t listened to the Courage to Begin, the Introductory Call to This Series, we recommend you ‎listen to it before the series.

About Us

Susanna Liller:

Susanna Liller is an executive and life coach, (CHIC, Certified Hudson Institute Coach), speaker, workshop leader and professional facilitator.  Her career path was circuitous, as most are.  What she thought to be a short detour in her career as an English teacher turned out to be 12 years in management at Bath Iron Works, which was quickly followed by 8 years as a partner in the Portland management consulting firm, Barton & Gingold.  Susanna now maintains her own consulting business, Liller Consulting, and works with firms and non-profits to help them meet their goals, however her passion is working with women in transition. This she does with her business, Ruby Slippers, established, in 2000.   Susanna offers workshops, retreats, and presentations to help women connect with, and attain, what they want out of life.  Susanna’s Heroine’s Journey Groups lead women through a revelatory and empowering process of self discovery.

Susanna has appeared throughout New England and on the west coast.  She has been recommended in publications such as MORE magazine and other women’s journals.  She has been instrumental in helping hundreds of women hear their true guidance and find their path.

David Lee:

David Lee has worked in the area of stress management, change management and resilience for over 25 years. He has worked with organizations and presented at conferences throughout North America and abroad.

His work focuses both on helping individuals increase their capacity to deal with stress and change, and helping employers create an environment that leads to a resilient workforce, and what Southwest Airlines calls a “Warrior Spirit.”

His program “Becoming Resilient” has been aired on public radio a number of times.

His work draws from:

  1. Teachings from ancient wisdom traditions.
  2. Leading edge scientific research on the mind/body connection.
  3. Peak performance techniques from elite athletes and elite warriors.
  4. His own life long journey developing his own resilience.

In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it.

What Others Say About Our Work

So much gratitude to you, Susanna, for being a fellow traveler.  Women need what you offer and the way you give it such a gift.  Courtney, Providence RI

Every aspect was well planned and presented.  Susanna is inspiring!  Betty, Portland Maine

Your presence, Susanna, is very calm.  There isn’t a sense of rushing through the agenda.  You leave room for people to say what they need to say and listen with your heart.  Nancy, Maine

I came away from this workshop a stronger, more confident woman as a result of the process and the love and compassion I experienced.  Thank you.  Sylvia, Maine

I love Joseph Campbell. I love David Whyte. And I love David Lee for giving us “Your Mythic Journey.” David gently invites us to come along with him as we explore our own Mythic Journey. His stories leap into our hearts, pointing out a direction, a way to make sense of life, if we will  but listen. This is a CD that I will recommend to anyone who is seeking the next step on their spiritual path. – Winter Robinson, author of “The Hidden Order”

The message in “Your Mythic Journey” is both profound and personal.  David offers a unique perspective in an authentic conversational format that leaves one curious and hopeful: perhaps our ordinary lives do matter — way more than we realize. This CD is full of good ideas to wake us up and get us moving into a richer, fuller version of our own wonderful selves. It is also entertaining and uplifting, making it easy to share the message with friends and family, as well as clients and colleagues. – Bonnie Vestal, MD Oncologist and Medical Counselor

Having seen a lot of speakers, I can’t tell you just how impressed I was by David. I even waited in line to talk with him… I learned a great deal and laughed my butt off in the process… When we have someone who is so genuine and so well prepared, we owe it to each other to spread the word…. I take it very seriously when I recommend someone else’s work and… he’s great! –  Naomi Judd

David Lee’s CD “Your Mythic Journey” is a show piece of his mastery as a trainer and his wealth of knowledge. I have used his CD personally and my clients have loved it.” – Corinne Bongiovanni, LCSW

“It was a sheer delight to sit back and listen, learn and laugh as David weaved his extensive knowledge of the material with his abundant practical wisdom generously sprinkled with personal reflections, stories and his own wholesome humor. David brings a rare blend of practical knowledge and genuine humanity to his presentations. One cannot help but leave his sessions smarter, and a better human being, as he has a way of touching one’s heart as well as one’s head.”
