Let other’s courage inspire you to “feel the fear and do it anyway”

I’m read this amazing book recommended by my friend Meredith Bell  whose website is aptly named “the Voice of Encouragement”.

I’ve been focusing part of my research and development time on finding answers to the human dilemma of “Why don’t I do the things I know I need to do?” and it’s better cousin “How can I develop habits that move me in the direction I want to?”

Well, along comes Meredith, who is an expert on positive habit development, mentioning in an email some cool books she’s reading and this was one of them.

BTW, Steven Pressfield is the author of The Legend of Bagger Vance, so he clearly knows something about creativity and turning ideas into action.

“Henry Fonda was still throwing up before each stage performance, even when he was seventy-five. In other words, fear doesn’t go away. The warrior and the artist live by the same code of necessity, which dictates that the battle must be fought anew every day.”

So…maybe you and I can do some of those things that create some anxiety in us?”

Just a thought :-)
